CLF General Meeting on February 11 at 10:30 will be a double feature. At the regular meeting our speaker will be Louis Aulbach who will present a selection of stories from his most recent book Buffalo Bayou: An Echo of Houston's Wilderness Beginning. This book offers wonderful historical stories of local personalities and places and will be available for purchase then.
In the afternoon will be a PowerPoint presentation on Norwegian and Scandinavian genealogy by Blaine Hedberg who will represent the Norwegian American Genealogical Center & Naeseth Library from Madison, Wisconsin. The presentation will be followed by a Question and Answer workshop. The speaker said it would be helpful if some questions would be sent to him ahead of time at bhedberg@nagcnl.org. [Mr. Hedberg's email address has been corrected. Please note the correct one for questions.]

Clayton Library is a partner of the Family History Library (FHL) of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) in Salt Lake City. Clayton Library users have the opportunity to find the needed film in the LDS Catolog, order LDS microfilm and other materials directly from the Family History Library, ordering from home and paying for them with Visa and MasterCard, and view them on-site at Clayton Library.
